This practical, hands-on course is ideal for young people interested in starting a career in the hair and beauty industry. Learners develop essential skills across a range of services in both hairdressing and beauty, supported by experienced tutors in a professional training environment.
Students also gain real-world experience through placements at our sister salon, Phases - a working salon created by BDS Training specifically to give Year 11 learners the opportunity to work as junior apprentices. This experience supports learners in making confident and informed career choices.
No prior learning or experience is required - just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Bespoke Barbering Pathway
BDS Barbers is a bespoke pathway, open to both male and female learners, that focuses solely on barbering and hairdressing skills. Beauty modules are excluded from this route.
Learners following the barbering pathway will complete all mandatory units and barbering-specific content, leading to a City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate.

- Days: Tuesday to Friday
- Times: 9:30am – 2:30pm
